I ADORE, ADORE, ADORE my new piece of kitchen equipment...... The Tribest Blender
It is the best thing I have bought since my Raw food lifestyle began (as well as my Vitamix and Excalibur dehydrator).
It is so versitile and comes with differing jars and attachments and lids etc. It efficiently grinds up seeds and grains so so quickly and effortlessy. Above is a mix of chia seeds, flax seeds and red and white quinoa which I wanted ground up to add to my smoothie......
This is the bulk base (but it's size is not intrusive at all) and within seconds, it blends things perfectly :0)
To grind up the seeds and grains, I used the '2 blade dry grinder' attachment and within seconds I had my mixed seed/grain meal ready to use.
I have never been a 'green smoothie' person tbh, I swayed in the 'green Juice' direction after being put off too many times with failed green smoothies and the task of cleaning the machine I used to make these little disasters. UNTIL now that is..... This Tribest Blender now makes my life oh so simple in the creation of green smoothies.
LOULOU'S AFTERNOON SMOOTHIE
- a few chunks of pineapple
- 1/2 peeled chopped apple
- 12 grapes
- 1 small orange peeled and chopped
- 1 handful lambs lettuce
- rejuvelac (or filtered water)
- 3 T mixed flax,chia & quinoa meal
- 1 kiwi peeled and chopped
I simply added all my chopped vegetables and fruits and blended seeds into one of the jars that come with the blender set and placed on the blender blade lid and let the machine do the rest for 10 seconds or so.
This handy sipping lid comes with the accessories of the blender too which is a Brilliant idea and comes in Very handy!! The washing up/cleaning factor is so minimal as you use the same jar you blended the smoothie in to drink from too. PERFECT!!!
LOULOU'S BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE
- 1 small banana chopped
- 1 cup of mixed frozen berries
- 1 T hemp seeds
- 1 T hemp protein powder
- rejuvelac (or filtered water)
- 1 cup of swiss chard
- 3 or 4 sprigs of fresh mint
- chunk of peeled ginger
These are simply my versions of lush smoothies, but there are so so so many differing versions of which you can do to suit your own tastes. Gradually, I intend on 'upping' the quantity of 'greens' in my smoothies but I have learnt from experience.... slowly but surely is the best way :0)
I am going on a short trip to GB soon and intend on taking my Tribest blender with me (it is quite small and not too heavy either, so it will fit happily in my suitcase) which puts my mind at ease knowing even when I am away from home, I can still have my smoothies on a daily basis.
I highly recommend this piece of equipment and it most definitely has eased and helped my long time 'fear' of green smoothies...... I plan to enjoy it for many years to come!!!
